Pierre

Pierre is a very loving, calm dog. He enjoys being around people and other dogs. He is quick to form an attachment and will likely follow you around. He enjoys spending most of his day laying around the house on his bed or anything that is soft. Though, if you want to play he is ready for action and will jump at the chance of getting to play with other dogs. He gets excited when he sees his leash, enjoys walks, and knows how to heel.

Pierre likes chewies, especially the flat raw hides. I have never seen him refuse a treat.

I make my family laugh when I crawl! If Pierre is laying down, and you crouch down near the end of his bed and pat it, he will crawl towards you instead of getting up. It is too cute!

Pierre gets excited when he has the chance to play with other dogs. He likes to chase them and be chased. He is well socialized and got along well with his previous fosters three dogs in the house, even another male dog.

In case youre wondering, I do ask to go out when I gotta go.

Pierre is a good listener and knows multiple commands. He knows sit, down, shake, stay, come, and his name. He will stay in both a sitting position and when laying down. He knows the word "no" well and will stop what he is doing when he hears it. He loves to go on walks and knows how to heel.

A great family for Pierre would be one that will allow indoor dogs. He would love to spend time close to family members and receive lots of attention. Having a backyard would be great for him to run and play. He also likes to go outside and take a nap in the afternoon sun on a warm day.

Please note that Pit Bull Rescue San Diego does not adopt on a first come first served basis. Generally we have formed an opinion about the sort of home that we want for each of the dogs in our program. This opinon is formed from knowing each dog and observing their interactions in various situations and through periodic evaluations. Our goal is to place our charges in the home that is the best possible for that particular dog. Our only goal is happiness and forever homes for our dogs. A forever home is most likely to happen when we do the best we can to find lifestyles and personalities that match.

We are aware that this is a human process and that you may or may not agree with our decisions. Please understand that we take very seriously the lives placed in our hands for this brief time and our decisions are only made out of protectiveness for the breed and the specific dogs we are placing and not out of any judgment of you or your life.
